Prayer of Preparation God of truth and love, your Son, Jesus Christ, stands as the light to all who seek you with a sincere heart. As we strive with your grace to be faithful in word and deed, may we reflect the kindly light of Christ and offer a witness of hope and peace to all. We pray for Pope Benedict and look forward with joy to his forthcoming visit to our countries. May he be a witness to the unity and hope which is your will for all people. Maureen Coleman R.I,P, A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Maureen on 30 July at 10.0am.followed by cremation at South Bristol Cemetery. After the Mass everyone is welcome to join the family at the Whitchurch British Legion. May she rest in peace.
Union of Catholic Mothers Wednesday 28 July- Meet in the Majella Room after 10.0 Mass. We will then be going to Eileen’s for a coffee morning. This will be the last meeting before the summer break. Next Meeting – Wednesday 1 September. The Cream Tea afternoon held on Saturday 17 July raised £243.50(Including donations) for our Philippines Project. Thanks to all who supported this event.
Little Sisters of the Poor To raise funds for St. Joseph’s Home, there will be Cream Teas in St. Joseph’s Garden on 7 August at 2.30pm.
PARISH CENSUS The final day for returning completed parish census forms will be Sunday 1st August. Please put your form in the box at the back of the church.
50+ Club Coach Trip to St. Fagan’s on Tuesday 3 August, leaving Buller Road at 11.30 am. and returning at 6.30pm.. A few seats are available – please contact Carol Fackrell. Tel. 9772386

CAFOD Cafod collecting boxes are available on the Cafod table. Please take one home and help Cafod by lightening your pockets of small change. Membership of the “100 club” is available covering the remaining 3 draws for 2010/2011 for £9.00. 50% returned in prizes and 50% to Cafod. New members always welcome. Subscriptions may be paid to Carol Fackrell or Adrian Anglin. Next draw 3 October.

Josie Morrissey R.I.P. Please pray for Josie who died recently. Her Requiem Mass will be on Wednesday 4 August at 10.0am.Please also remember her family and friends in your prayers. May she rest in peace.

Parish Finance ~ The collection on 18 July for Parish Funds raised £448.83. Thank you. Today– Retiring Collection for ”Day for Life.” There are no envelopes for this collection. This collection helps the Linacre Centre for Healthcare & Ethics and other pro-Life groups. (This is the last scheduled second collection until September).
