Prayer To The Holy Trinity For The Preparation of Mass
Holy Trinity, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, come to us and renew us as we gather to celebrate this Sunday Mass. As we continue our pilgrimage of life, help us to become better Christians on ea rth so that we may rejoice with you forever in Heaven. To the Holy Trinity be glory for ever and ever. Amen

PILGRIMAGE TO OLD CASTILE: SPANISH MYSTICS AND ENGLISH MARTYRS

Mgr Jeremy Rigden, a previous parish priest of St Gerard's, is leading a pilgrimage/holiday to Valladolid, staying at the Royal College of St Alban. Accommodation is ensuite and the price of £525 (no single supplement) includes full board and trips to Segovia (tomb of St John of the Cross), Avila and Salamanca. Union of Catholic Mothers
On Wednesday 10 March there will be a “Quiet Morning of Prayer and Reflection for Lent” at Sacred Heart, Westbury on Trym. It will begin with Mass at 9.15 and end at 12.45. All welcome. For those not wishing to go , we will meet as usual in the Majella Room after 10.0 Mass  

Welsh Male Voice Choir
The Welsh Male Voice Choir will be in concert with Judith Carpenter and the St. Ursula’s School Choir with Richard John(Piano) on Friday 19 March at 7.30pm in Newman Hall, Westbury on Trym. Tickets £10 (Proceeds to CCS Adoption). Admission by ticket only 08451 220077. Please note that owing to licensing restrictions this event excludes children under the age of 10 years.     

Lent Lunches – Dates for your Diary

There will be two(2) “Cafod Lent Lunches” this year on 19 & 26 March 12(Noon)- 1.30pm. Do come along , enjoy your lunch and good company while at the same time helping CAFOD.

A Day on the Triduum:13 March 2010.
A day of prayer and reflection on the meaning and symbols of the Triduum is being held at St. Nicholas, Lawford’s Gate on Saturday 13 March from 10.30am.- 3.00pm.(Coffee from 10.0 am).Please bring a packed lunch. The day will be led by Fr. Christopher Whitehead and would be of special interest to those being received this Easter and those journeying with them and also anyone who is interested in learning more about the Holy Week Triduum. Application forms at the back of the church or from Ronnie Mitchinson on 0117 9025595.

Clow Meeting
There will be a CLOW meeting on Tuesday 9th March in the Church Hall at 8.30pm.
If you would like to know more about CLOW please feel free to come along, there is no obligation to join.

OPEN PARISH MEETING MARCH 21ST
There will be an extra coffee morning on March 21st during which there will be an open parish meeting. Veronica Morgan, our parish treasurer, will present the accounts. It is also planned to talk about the forming of a parish pastoral council. Please do come along. Everyone is welcome and everyone's ideas are valued. If you haven't been to parish meeting before, why not come this time?

First Sunday of the Month ~ Tea, coffee & refreshemnts in the hall, All Welcome.

Parish Finance ~ The collection on Sunday 28 February for Parish Funds yielded  £520.81.   Standing Orders for Feb. totalled £337.00. The retiring collection for Cafod Lent Family Fast raised £ 257.08.  Thank you.
